Soigneur is new, and a small group of riders are testing it. If you have a question or something is not working, email support@thesoigneur.app.

Why don’t my rides have power in Apple Health?

Because most platforms do not write it there. A ride synced to Apple Health by another app usually carries duration, distance and calories but no power and no heart-rate samples. That is a limitation of what those apps write, not of Health itself. Power comes from the ride file, which is why Soigneur imports .FIT.

How do I get my power data in?

Export the .FIT file from your head unit, trainer or platform, then open Settings → Ride files → Choose files. Every major device and service can produce one. Nothing needs connecting and no account is involved.

How do I connect Intervals.icu?

In Intervals.icu open Settings → Developer and copy your API key. In Soigneur open Settings → Connections → Intervals.icu, paste it and tap Connect. The key is stored in your iPhone’s keychain and never leaves the phone. Rides and wellness — HRV, resting heart rate, sleep and weight — come in on connect and each time you open the app. There is a daily limit on how much can be requested, so a very large history may take a couple of days to fill.

Why are some of my Intervals.icu rides missing?

Intervals.icu is not permitted to pass on activities that arrived from Strava. Rides that reach Intervals directly from a Garmin, Wahoo, Polar, Suunto or COROS device, from Zwift, or by file upload are available. If Strava is your only upload route, connect your device or app to Intervals.icu directly.

Can Soigneur watch a folder for ride files?

Yes. Open Settings → Connections → Watched folder → Choose folder and pick the iCloud Drive, Dropbox or On My iPhone folder where Zwift, TrainerRoad or your head unit’s app saves .FIT files. New files there are imported each time you open the app. Stop watching keeps the rides that have already been imported.

What is the sample ride?

Settings → Ride files → Load a sample ride adds a synthetic ninety-minute ride, so you can see the power curve and the ride card before you have files of your own. Remove sample ride clears it.

Why is there no five-second best for some rides?

Because that file cannot honestly answer the question. Some head units use “smart recording”, writing a data point every few seconds rather than every second. Rebuilding a second-by-second series from that does not recover the detail in between, so a five-second best calculated from it would describe the reconstruction rather than what you did. Soigneur works out how densely each file was recorded and leaves out the durations it cannot support, rather than showing you a number that looks precise and is not.

Why did a best effort change after an update?

Most likely because of how stopped time is handled. If your head unit auto-pauses at a junction, those minutes are not riding at zero watts — but they are not nothing either, because an effort cannot continue through a stop. Soigneur measures each best effort inside a single continuous stretch of riding. A twenty-minute best that previously spanned a coffee stop was never a twenty-minute effort, and the corrected figure is the honest one.

Does Soigneur give medical advice?

No. It gives training guidance from your own numbers, and cites the research it rests on. It does not diagnose anything. Talk to a doctor about health concerns.

Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. It is read, analysed and stored on your device. There is no account and no server of ours. The privacy policy sets this out in full.

How do I delete my data?

Delete the app and everything it stored goes with it; the privacy policy lists the other ways to withdraw access.

Something looks wrong

Tell us what you saw, what you expected, and roughly when the ride was. If it relates to a specific ride file, say which device recorded it. Reports that name a specific number that looks wrong are the most useful kind — the pause handling above was found exactly that way.
